Day Two, the morning of the wedding ceremony and reception. It would be a busy day for the wedding party, but for the rest of us, it would be a great day to explore. First up...breakfast! And Dave's smiling face! We never ate so well as we did that weekend. (The coffee and cookies were SO GOOD, even though I never strayed from the ginger cookies!)
Hair and make-up for the wedding party.
A preview of the beautiful flowers.
Alright, time for a hike! Fortunately, we had one of the resident dogs - let's call him Scout - to lead us through the woods. It worked too, as Scout returned us safely back home. (Unlike Sunday, when we were dog-less and lost in the woods for a bit.)
Our fearless leader. |
Once the sun came out, so did the fall colors. It was a stunning day.
Back at the lake, near the cabins.
This is where we lodged.
Basketball "action" shots. The best we could do with semi-inflated balls.
Time to sit this one out, Adam? |
What's this I see? A wall full of puzzles! Game on!
Wait, we have a wedding to get to! The puzzle must wait.
